Torelló 225 Enoteca 2015 wins the best sparkling wine award in the Guia de Vins de Catalunya 2026

225 Enoteca 2015 Best Sparkling Wine award 2026 Guia Vins de Catalunya 2026
In the recently released 18th edition of the Guia de Vins de Catalunya for 2026, Torelló 225 Enoteca Brut Nature 2015 earned 9.92 points and won the Guide’s Best Sparkling Wine award, after more than 200 Catalan sparkling white wines were tasted. It was described as “extraordinary, elegant, dry, and fresh.”
This Corpinnat, made with the Xarel.lo (47%), Macabeo (33%) and Parellada (20%) varieties from our Can Martí de Gelida estate, is from the 2015 vintage, which was marked, climatologically, by a very mild winter and summer that led to a very slow and balanced ripening of the grapes. After the first fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks at our winery, the base wine was aged in 225-litre Allier French oak barrels, hence its name. After bottling, it was aged for over 9 years in the bottle. It is one of Enoteca’s Torelló sparkling wines.
It is complex and has notes of yeast, toast from the long aging, and smoke from the barrel, with an intense flavour and a dry finish. A Corpinnat made with wine aged in a 225-liter barrel with absolute precision.
